Default Polish OOB

Hello
I would like to denote some bugs in Polish OOB (at least in my opinion). I don't have an access to online references to proove my opinions, but maybe someone else will find such, or I will do it later....
Anyway:
1) PT-91 - all verisions from basic PT-91 to future PT-91C (Leo2 gun and FC) have TI, so vision should be at least 40. It is in some cases in OOB, but in some (like 009,010) is not.
2) ZSU-23-4 is still in line and I suppose they will remain active for some time. I'm not sure that all will be modernised into Biala (ZSU-23-4MP) version. Anyone has any clue?
3) SPG9 is still in use. I have no information about time of their planned disactivation.
4) I'm not sure if RPG-76 is so commonly used in modern times by infantry. It is personal AT wearpon, and I suppose RPG-7V is better candidate for AT slot of Polish infantry in SPMBT.
5) MIG-23 are not in line since 90s. I don't remember year but I guess it was in second part. Anybody got any info about it? I guess most of attack sorties are carried out by SU-22M-4 and in future by F-16D BLOCK 52.
6) BM-21 Grad is still commonly used and modernized (longer range ammo and different types of warheads).
7) I don't know anything about PMKM and PMK rifles. Maybe it should be AKM and AKMS. I am not an expert in rifles, so I moght be wrong.
8) 98mm mortars are missing.
9) SA-3 (S-125) are being very intensivly modernized. Missile is the same, but rest (radars, FC, cameras) are replaced with digitalized version.
10) There are plans for acuiring Patriot SAM.

I am aware that this is just my ideas without much details, but maybe someone else got some details about it. I am not an expert so I might be wrong. I hope that we will be able to provide sufficent info to patch Polish OBB in next version.

Regards
Witek Cegla

Default Re: Polish OOB

1) The SU-22 UMK-3 is a 2-seat trainer version, not bomber
2) Poland is using 80 mm and 210 mm unguided rockets since mid-80s
3) Krab 155 mm SPA is not yet in service
4) A for 125 mm ammo - Poland used early 80s ammo until mid-90s when first version of Pronit ammo was developed (APCR value circa 65). In 2001 second type of Pronit APCR was introduced (APCR 75). Polish HEAT rounds are still old Soviet ones.
5) 45mm ATGs were used until late 40s
6) F-16 is not yet in service, scheduled for 2006-2007
7) MiG-23 is out of service since mid-90s, BM-21 Grad is still in service and will remain for long time.
8) Poland doesn't use FH-70 guns
9) No UAVs currently, plans to purchase Predators in 2006
10) Naval gun support...Poland had only 1 Sovriemenyji-class destroyer replaced with 2 OHPs. However, Poland has several heavy landing ships (Ropucha-class) with 122 mm launchers for shore landing support.
