Default Armor Thickness/Formula

Hi,

I'm sure this question has probably been asked before but is there a formula or rule of thumb for calaculating armor values? I'm messing around with some new vehicles and I have the various armor thicknesses & slopes, I'm not sure how to convvert them to game armor values other than trying to compare the numbers with existing vehicles (which would be easy if you could ignore slope).

Thanks,

Adrian

Game calculates armor values as centimeters of rolled homogenous armor horizontally. Angles to the horizontal increase the thickness of a armor plate. It is easily calculated with either cos or sin function of the angle of the plate to vertical or horizontal.

I´m sorry but I don´t remember which is which, but hope this helps.

LOS thickness = Real thickness (cm) / cos (angle from vertical)
