Default Offmap Artillery Poll

Some OOBs do not let you purchase a single off map artillery unit the smallest formation contains 2 off map units.

Due to the size of the battles I normally play I would like the option to buy a single unit so a poll to get peoples views.

I am happy in OOBs that are short on space for the removal of Battalion level off map formations & have a possible suggestion set up like the USMC formations that use company format. (Each unit is separate)
Date 1977 formations 186 & 182 as examples.

If you do not PBEM then you can build your own.

Unit space is limited in a few OOB's but none have overcrowded formations. So I will make a mental note to look into adding things like that, it's handly for scenario design as well

It WOULD be helpful to know which OOB you think does not breakdown things the way you like and save me guessing

I'll freely admit to being biased.
OF COURSE I like the USMC set up!

Wait till the end of the purchasing, then buy the battery that consists of 2 sections/platoons and the second unit will not be purchased, but the first will be if sufficient points are in the bank.

Same as buying a tank platoon of say 5 when insufficient points available for all 5, you will get 4 or less.

Then use any remaining points for bits and bobs and continue to the battle.

I often buy bunch of formations with single, double, whatever units then buy whatever is expensive and finally a number of lower value units then go back and delete the initial single/double/whatever and buy whatever I actually wanted. If I have to many points and get more units then I wished I rebuy the placeholder and add another low value or three unit at the end. If I don't have enough points I'll delete sufficient low value units at the end till I do. Then delete everything you didn't really want after your new "correct size" formation and continue on.

Realise I play quite a lot of countries this list is for the 1970s

UK - Medium only - Light, Heavy OK (Applies in WWII also)
These countries min buy is 2 in MBT
US - Germany - Italy - Poland - Yugoslavia - Sweden - Greece
North & South Korea - China - India - Pakistan - Australia
Argentina - Brazil - Syria - Iraq - Egypt - Uganda - South Africa

Realise you can do this but it can be a pain all I want is one battery for an assault in a campaign or 2 different ones say one with CM one without.
Single Purchase or the doubles set up individually so you can delete one is far simpler.

UK has single light & heavy formations but no single medium formation for the FH-70s.
