Default 1st Cav Div. campaign problem...

Well I tried to launch this campaign in my v.3.0 but as I press "start" nothing happens ... Other campaigns seem to work ok but not this... Any help? Corrupted files I suppose?

same result here - my bet, as is yours, is some file problems of some sort or other. We will investigate further.

Cheers

I noticed this the other day also, and just for the heck of it I tried to extract the scenarioes using the included Campaignhack tool. The error I received was that the scenarioes are missing? I checked the campaign folder and the files jump from C004... to C006... Same for the U00... files.

Minor issue for an otherwise EXCELLENT!!! upgrade!

Has anybody here yet noticed that 2nd Paras campaign not works too? When I start turn 1 all units will appear into left side (without any vehicles) and start to "destroy"... Some corrupted files there too?

You have 700 Support Points for the 1st Scenario. In the briefing text for the 1st mission it mentions you'll need to purchase landing craft and other stuff;

"Commander,*

Your orders are to secure Blue Beach at San Carlos.*

We do not expect any significant resistance from enemy ground forces, but Argentinean Pucara ground-attack planes operating from Stanley‘s airport may try to attack your forces on the beach.*

So, in addition to landing-barges be sure to request some anti-air missiles to cover your paratroops from Argentinean planes.*"

I thought the same thing 1st time I played it.

I will sort this out and post a fix once I figure out what's wrong

OK guys I need some more info. What "START" does not "START" for you ? The one that brings you to the purchase screen ??

When in the screen with all the different fixed campaigns (5th marines 1967 to African abbattoir) if you select "1st cav division: LZ x-ray' and press 'START' on the bottom of the screen the screen window disappears for a moment (background stays the same) and then returns with the campaign deselected (ie no longer highlighted in blue). Nothing else happens.

Looks like we have another mystery on our hands guys. That 1st Cav campaign works perfectly in the my developement copy of the game AND in the game I use to test the patch intallers. Both start up just fine and I do recal testing this one because it's the one where you start by choosing how you want to play it by marching your HQ to one of the selected V hexes.

I will post the files for this later but I would like a bit more info on what it is that won't "start" for you that have this problem and I would like anyone else who reads this thread to try that campaign as well and see if it starts for you as well.
