Interesting. Might make for some good scenarios or even campaigns.

Yes, that is an excellent website and list. I'm sure if you had asked most people how many jumps were made in 1947 few would have guessed 28 with half being combat related jumps involving over 100 men.

In the 1982 page, knows anybody what means 'Water jump'?

Due to the long distance between their nearest air strip on Ascension Island and the RN Task Force operating near the Falklands, the only way to send certain specialists personnel down to the task force was to let them jump from a Hercules into the cold Atlantic (thas's why it's called a water jump) next to the ships, to be hopefully picked up ASAP... - quite brave, especially if you consider that most of these men were no trained paratroopers (the Hercules were hastily equipped with refuelling probes that they didn't have before for reinforcing the task force + dropping special operations units).

OK it says here most men were from the SAS, so at least Special Forces + most of them Para-trained as well, but I read somewhere else that they also had to drop some other essential personnel that was not even jump-qualified.

Hmm, they seem to have forgot the paradrop of the Israeli Paratroopers on the Ammunition hill at 67' in the 6 Day War. And I believe there were a few before this one. (The Paradrop on the Ammunition Hill was the last paradrop in the history of IDF)
