Default Which is the factor of weapon's ability to suppress

Studying tactics of WinSPWW2, I focused on which unit is good at supporting. I made the list of german weapon's Kill.

Then, I found Kill of 7.5cm KwK37, which is the main gun of PzKw IV, is smaller than one of LMG and the same value as one of SMG. It seems too powerless to use as a support weapon, although PzKw IV was made for close support tank. Therefore I thought there are other factors of weapon ability to suppressing. I guess Warhead would be one of them, although MG's warhead is 1. Which is the factor of weapon's ability to suppress?

The actual kill capability, supression, penetration, etc is an eldritch calculation based on the "...complex interaction of weapon class, HE Kill, and Warhead Size..." plus a small random factor.

Two weapons of the same warhead size, weapon class, HEK, etc "should" produce similar results but change any one of these factors and results will vary.

If you want to supress (or kill) something grab the weapon with the highest HEK AND highest Warhead size you can find - the 600mm Karl Morser ticks ALL the right boxes, lol!

Not sure that's 100% correct in my view the amount of fire received plays a big part to.
If talking artillery for example bigger guns are more likely to kill but generally have a low ROF.
Your light mortar is not going to kill much but is still a very good suppression tool because it has a high ROF.

However, the suppressive power of Karl Morser is a bit limited by its slow rate of fire. Multiple rocket launcher (like 21 cm nebelwefer), with less bang per shot but higher rate of fire, might be a handier choice if you want a lot of suppression in a given area.

Flame weapons also seem to have superior suppression effect, compared to other weapons with similar stats. This can also be seen in their point cost - compare German flame rockets with ordinary rockets for example. Of course with most flame weapons, getting close enough to use them can be a bit of a challenge.

Based on my experience, it seems that armoured vehicles are better suppressed by weapons with some armour penetration capability - or at least my anti-tank rifles seem to be better at making enemy tanks to button up than small arms fire.

Also, one of the best ways to cause suppression is to cause damage or casualties to the enemy - making snipers better in suppressing role than you would think based on their stats.
