Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
I'm trying to shoot at the PzrGren SMG grp, and get BAD TARGET message, no shot made. I tried to shoot with infantry and T34. Also they have indication "Reinforce 6" instead of status (like Ready or Pinned)
I've attached save file

Hmm - sounds like a borked scenario.
Reinforcements are off-map and so cannot be targeted with direct fire. Reinforcements being shown on the map before thier arrival time is either a bug or bad scenario design.
I will check this one out.
Cheers

Re: Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
Hi,
I was not able to locate the PzrGren SMG grp; but if there is any unit like that, then I may try to do a wild guess for its existence:
1. Load an infantry unit in a carrier vehicle.
2. Set a reinforcement entry turn for the carrier(example turn #3).
3. Unload the infantry unit and set a new reinforcement entry point for the infantry unit (for example turn #6)
4. Load your infantry unit in the carrier and save the scenario.
5. On turn #4, hit and destroy that carrier vehicle.
I don't know what all the above will result, but it won't be something nice!!
cheers,
Pyros

Re: Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
Something along the ideas I had (bad scenario data/designer error).
BTW - which original in-game scenario no. is this one?

Re: Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
It was not a scenario, it was a long WW2 campain for Russia.

Re: Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
Hi,
I met similar 'bug' tomorrow while playing a Russian long campaign game. I attached a zip containing the save and a picture about the unit. Click L0 unit to make the bugged panzergrenadier appear.

Re: Panzer grenadirs - bad target ?
This was the result of a AI reinforcement unit getting the OK to enter the game before it's assigned transport. Now fixed.
