Default No longer available?

I played the Demo for this years ago and am a little disappointed that its no longer available.

I looked at Dominions 3, but it seemd to be a totally different game based on real Gods and real nations. I was really looking for the fantasy elements of Dominions 2.

Oh well. The demo was great. I can't remember why I didn't purchase the game.

Actually, I'm reading more and I believe that the wiki article on Dominions 3 is simply very misleading.

Sounds likely. Dom 3 adds content and mechanics and changes some UI stuff, but the basics of the game is not different.

More importantly, all the Dominions II nations are still there, often bigger than before. The new nations continue in the same style.

Many of the nations of Dominions (II and 3) are based on real world myths. Dominions often combines what the nations really were and what their myths were, and the combination is something awesome. I don't remember what nations are available in DomII demo, but the human nations' military usually consists of units that all existed, in some form, in the history of the nation it's based on.

Yeah, I just sent an email to tech support asking where I can buy a new copy. I lost the manual and the CD itself is pretty badly scratched so I was barely able to re-install the game. Im going to look for my manual more tomorrow, but I figured Id ask support since the CD is on its last legs; it was a permanent fixture in my old laptop since I bought it.

You can still get the game from TuxGames: http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?&gameref=117

I got mine from them several years ago. Even though it's a Linux game site, it has the Windows version on the game disk as well.
