Default How to simulate caves?

Does anyone have any good tips for simulating cave and tunnel entrances? I'm trying to make some Okinawa/Iwo/Saipan maps. In the past I've used a lower elevation with a fortification in it, like maybe having an elv=3 and using the edge with an lv=2 for the fortifiction This protects the lower elevation from less than direct hits by arty but greatly restricts the ability for weapons use within and by the fortification. I'm not asking for a new icon, just a work-around. Cave and tunnel entrances should be more resistant.

Thanks

Several Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Saipan etc maps and scenarios are present in the WW2 game (Since the IJA and the USMC had a few arguments with regard to possesion of same) and the maps should transfer over to any MBT version you are trying to make.

There is even a dark volcanic sand terrain for Iwo Jima - definately in the WW2 terrain set, not sure if it was ported over to MBT. But that special sand was made just for there.

YES, the volcanic sand is in MBT. Maps for both games are interchangeable therefore all terrain is the same in both

They're in there all right, and I wouldn't want to take them on without a lot of support (note the armor values).Click image for larger version

They become far less of a threat with a smoke round dropped in the arc of fire
