Default Healing afflictions?

I couldn't find this with the forum's search function, or much about it in the manual, so here's a newbie's question...

What are all the ways of healing afflictions besides recuperation? Does the spell Healing Light do it? I remember reading that there's a pretender that can, to, but I don't recall which one...

Without a good method, I don't see much good in using units with medium/high HP but low armor...

The most common way to heal afflictions is via units with the healer special ability like Arco priestesses, Faery Queens, etc. In addition to that the global spell Gift of Health and the artifact The Chalice both heal afflictions. While not as useful its also worth mentioning that immortal units heal afflictions over time.

Frumious, it's all explained in the stickied thread "DOMINIONS 3 FAQ".
