Ramschaufelpanzer StuG IV
I have seen three photos of this
the other two show it clearing rubble and a civilian is shown driving so I suspect this was designed to clear rubble from city streets and is not a combat vehicle ( the big hole where the gun used to be is a bit of a giveaway ..... I have also seen a photo of a panther version as well......anyone know if my suspicions are correct?
It was nice to see the photo dated March 20 1944

Re: Ramschaufelpanzer StuG IV
I don't have it currently to hand, but I am sure, I have an article with an annotated photo of a Panther Ram and Sturmpanzer IV Ram - which says they were conversions post-war for rubble clearing

Re: Ramschaufelpanzer StuG IV
Found some stuff -
Seems Ram(m)schaufelpanzer or Panzer-Strassenraeumgeraet (tank street dozers) were used to clear rubble from bombed cities in early 1944 and continued after the war. There are pictures of (a unique?) panther and notes that say PzIII and IV were used.
Picture of panther with german annotation:
Attached more pictures of Panther
Some more pics of PzIV / StuG IV here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/deckar...n/photostream/

Re: Ramschaufelpanzer StuG IV
I had seen the first and third photo before but not the main one.....anyway the question is answered.... not a "game worthy" vehicle ( just as well they'd have to go into Blue )
