Potion Game Logs?

I think a log of the gameplay would greatly enhance the ability to write informative AAR's so as to better understand gameplay: tactics and strategy; and, communicate or share gameplay with other winSPMBT players. In this way, scenario designers and players can better appreciate the game in such a way that better scenario designs are brought to the winSPMBT community.

Logs may also help to build gameplay standards (and rules) for scenario designers to adopt when creating or modifying scenarios.

I suggest a log of activity at the unit level, although a log at the formation level would provide benefit as well.

What do you think of this wish list?

Default Re: Game Logs?

Well that would cause a gigantic save game file. These are already big enough when logging what happened in the one players last turn!.

In a PBEM, it would have to be passed back and forward between the 2 players, expanding as the game progressed. If it was not encrypted then it would be a wonderful way to cheat....

If you want to note what happened on a turn by turn basis, then use the existing turn replay facility and make notes on a piece of paper. Then write up your own report at the end from these notes.

cheers
Andy
