Default SPELL: Confusion

I have scripted the spell confusion a few times but never seems to be very effective. In fact, I have trouble seeing it having any impact at all. In D&D, this type of spell used to be incredibly powerful since not only do you neutralize an enemy but you also get them to occasionally fight for you.

Does anyone have any luck with this spell or insights into its use? I realize it is an MR-based spell, but even with penetration items it seems more useless than I'd like it to be.

Thanks.

Default Re: SPELL: Confusion

I honor it because I received the bad end of it.
An AI pretender with quite some air magic, a fortess and one confusion every turn - totally stopped me.

It is most efficient when you defend your castle, you either need some penetration bonus (like high skill) or a few mages casting it.
