Comments on game play
I love the game. It combines the best of Ground Control and Close Combat with a good 3d engine and no distractions. Whoever did the coding deserves a pat on the back.
Here are my first impressions:
1. The mouse works great changing the view. I'm running a PII450MMX with a Voodoo5 and tons of memory. Very smooth grapics and gameplay.
2. The AI is a little weak in the Demo. I scored a 96.1 on my first try at the second battle.
3. The sound could use some work. I know it's just a small demo, but everything sounded tinny and bad.
4. Will the grapics be moddable, so-to-speak?
5. The keyboard shortcuts worked good and helped a lot.
6. Can we assign new names to the units?
7. Are there plans to work on the ground graphics? Maybe grass, water, better trees, etc. The game looked good, but sparse.
8. What about weather?
9. I liked the 3d effects of the shell arcs, smoke, missles, etc. Very cool. Another pat on the back for whoever did that work.
All in all, Remote Assault looks very good. I'm looking forward to the full release Version.

Re: Comments on game play
If you want a tougher challenge, you can play around with the Game difficulty options, in the options screen. 96 is great score, I’ve never done that well on that level. Also the full Version of the game has multiplayer so you play against humans over the net.
All the graphics, and units will be modable. You can change unit names this way.

Re: Comments on game play
I've only done the training missions so far, but overall, I like it. I don't find it to be as "pretty" as Ground Control, but I like the way the units act.
I'm going to try the games next week.

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.
