Fate of Oedipus

According to the Dominions rule book the Fate of Oedipus cancels the Eyes of God spell.

But does it has to overpower it?

No. It just wipes it out, and blinds the caster on top of that.

Bah! Who needs eyes to become blind? This is magic. But don't worry, when you get the blindness affliction, if you are already blind then it doesn't have any effect.
