Air traffic Control is one of the few sims that really interests me so when I heard about Air Command 3.0 I wanted to try it.

I downloaded the demo and when I go to run it all I get is an OE error. Any help with this problem.

I am ready to order once I see the demo.

I'm not familiar woth this error. Does it happen during the install process or the initial unzipping?

Install and unzipping seem to work fine.
Installs itself in the start menu. its just when I go to run the actual demo does this occur.

I have latest directx, in fact everything is fairly new. I run a lot of other games and they all work. I even tried the whole download/unzip process again after uninstalling the demo. Same result. Blue screen of death with an OE error.

Does anything come up at all before the BSOD?

My sound card is new. It's from Guillemot. Maxi Sound Muse card. they have a 877 484-5536 tech support phone number. or at www.guillemot.com. (http://www.guillemot.com.)

Old games, new games run fine. I play MP3 audio, roller coaster tycoon, pinball games, my kids download games... everything else with sound works fine.

Okay your board is based on the followingn chipset:

Yamaha XG studio™– GM™ (General Midi) and Yamaha XG compatible

Make SURE your drivers are DirectX certified. TO verify this find dxdiag on your hard drive and run it to see if the sound drivers are certified, I know some Yamaha drivers are not.

Joe this is the chipset he is running (see above).

I tried that change, no luck. I am trying to get Guillimot to give me some support on this problem. It works fine on my son's computer. he has a different sound card.

I appreciate all the help.

I'll get a hold of a guillemot sound card and look at this. I'll post the info as soon as know something.

Joe,

In talking to Guillimot, the only response I got was that I should reload directx (which I did) and that they will be releasing a new driver. But they had no date.

So I can't try the demo. Let me know once you get the card if you have a patch.

Again, thanks.
