On 1 September 1939, the XXII Panzer*
Corps, part of the 14th Army, crossed*
the Polish border from Slovakia. In an*
attempt to outflank the positions of*
the Polish Krakow Army under General*
Antoni Szylling defending Silesia and*
western Lesser Poland, the Germans*
crossed the Tatra passes and assaulted*
the towns of Chabowka and Nowy Targ.*
Their orders were to seize the town of*
Myslenice not later than on 3 September*
thus encircling the entire Polish army*
fighting in the area.*

__Polish Mission*
Kapitan Kolasa, your squadron (the 1st*
Squadron, 10th Mounted Rifle Regiment,*
10th Motorized Brigade) has been*
selected by Colonel Maczek to prevent*
the Germans from siezing control of the*
railroad line north of Wysoka.  Scouts*
report that a battalion size strike*
group from the 2nd Panzer Division is*
using the old road to approach the area.*
A platoon of Vickers tanks from the*
121st Light Tank Company is being*
attached to your command.  Artillery*
support will be provided by the 100mm*
battery of the 16th Motorized Artillery*
Battalion.*

__German Mission*
Oberstleutnant Hoffmann, you are being*
given command of a kampfgruppe*
consisting of the 4/II/A panzer kompanie*
of the 2nd Panzer Brigade, kradschutzen*
kompanie A and panzergrenadier kompanie*
B of II battalion, 2nd Panzergrenadier*
Regiment, 2nd Panzergrenadier Brigade.*
Divison will supply a recon group to*
guide your way and a 10.5cm batterie*
will be assigned for fire support.*
Seize control of the railroad line north*
of the town of Wysoka and eliminate all*
enemy opposition in the area.*
