105 mm wz.29 field guns was relatively modern French*
Schneider design, manufactured in Poland.*
Along with old wz.13 guns they were used in Polish*
heavy artillery units. Wz.29 guns were practically *
only Polish long-range guns, although their range*
of 15.5 km was rather modest.*
*
Both types of 105 mm cannons were used in heavy*
artillery detachments of all 30 regular infantry*
divisions (a battery of three 105 mm guns in each).*
*
They were also used in eight wartime heavy artillery*
regiments, each with twelve 105 mm cannons in three*
four-gun batteries (along with 155 mm howitzers). *
*
There were between 124 and 140 guns wz.29 available.*
All were horse-drawn.*
After 1939 campaign, the Germans sold them to*
Finland.*
