The C4P halftrack was an artillery tractor variant*
of the wz.34 halftrack truck, which was a derivative*
of Polski Fiat 621 truck, developed in Poland.*
A production began in 1935 and about 350-400 were*
completed. At least 80 of them were C4P artillery*
tractors, built in several variants for light, heavy*
and AA artillery. Tow capacity was around 4 tons.*
*
In 1939 C4P prime movers were used in two Motorized*
Artillery Detachments of field artillery (the 16th*
of the 10th Mot. Cavalry Bde and the 2nd of the*
Warsaw Motorized Brigade), towing 75mm wz.97 field*
guns and 100mm wz.14/19P howitzers on rubber tires.*
*
They were also used in the 6th Motorized Heavy*
Artillery Detachment towing 120mm guns. In the*
11th AA Artillery Detachment C4P tractors towed 75mm*
wz.36 Star AA-guns.*
