4TP (factory designation PZInz.140) was a Polish*
prototype of a light reconnaissance tanks, built in*
1937.*
*
The tank was successful and its production was*
considered, but an idea of lightly armoured *
reconnaissance tank was given up eventually.*
*
The prototype's fate is not known. It could not*
fight, for it was probably not armed and made of*
ordinary steel.*
*
The tank was to be armed with a 20mm automatic gun*
and 7.92mm wz.30 CMG in a turret. In 1938 a 20mm gun*
wz.38 FK-A was tested with 4TP, then dismounted.*
