The Lublin R-XIII was Polish army cooperation*
(observation and liaison) plane, built from 1932*
until 1938 in Plage i Laskiewicz factory in Lublin*
in several similar variants. It was Polish main*
army cooperation plane in the 1930s.*
Most numerous variant was Lublin R-XIIID.*

It had a very short take-off and landing, enabling*
it to operate from fields. However, only some were*
equipped with a radio and a camera. In 1939 they*
were used in observation escadres. Only part of them*
were replaced by RWD-14b Czapla before the war.*

In 1939, 49 were assigned to seven observation*
escadres. Around 83 were used in combat in total.*

Max speed was 187 km/h.*
Armament: one observer's 7.92 mm MG.*
