Renault R-35 light infantry tanks were used by Polish 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade of Col. Maczek,
organized in France in 1940.*
*
Unfortunately, the tanks were given by the French only in May 1940, and the brigade could not complete its organization. It was used in combat with only
one R-35 tank battalion, and some infantry and artillery elements.*
They were used in fighting in Bourgogne on 12-17 June 1940 (among others, at Champaubert, and recapturing Montbard town).*
