Armoured cars, like Humber AC Mk.II and Mk.III, Daimler AC were used by Polish units organized in Great Britain for training only. Their main user was the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment
of the 1st Armoured Division, but it was disbanded in October 1943. The Division, fighting in Western Europe since 1944, had no armoured car units (there were some armoured cars in secondary roles only, like Morris LRC and Humber LRC).*
*
Since late 1942, armoured cars were used in Polish units in Middle East for training: there were Morris LRC and Marmon-Herrington AC Mk.III as standard models, replaced in 1943 with Staghounds, GM Foxes, and GM Otters, with which the 2nd Corps went to fight in Italy in 1944.*
*
Armoured cars were used in following 2nd Corps units, fighting in Italy:*
- Pulk Ulanow Karpackich (Carpathian Lancer Rgt) - Corps' recce unit, and two divisional recce regiments:*
- 12th Podole Uhlans Regiment (12 Pulk Ulanow Podolskich)*
- and 15th Poznan Uhlans Regiment (15 Pulk Ulanow Poznanskich).*
There were also other units created, but they had not completed their organisation. *
