Description: 4th CMBG at War*
*
WWIII has begun. Soviet and Pact Forces have crossed the border into the FRG. Although the main efforts have been on the Nothern German Plains, Fulda and Hof Gaps, a struggle is occurring in SE German where Czech Forces supported by Soviet Armour, is laying waste to the German countryside in its drive to Munich.*
*
German Forces have been driven back from the Danube. Although the bridges at Straubing were successfully destroyed by NATO, Czech forces were able to gain a bridgehead at Deggendorf and are pushing their follow-on forces to exploit the breach.*
*
Elements of the Czech 13th Recce Bn, supported by a Battalion of the 8th MRR are moving towards Buchhofen, trying to flank your forces along Rt 92 north of the Isar.*
*
You command recce elements of the 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (4CMBG). You have requested and received support from the 2nd Bn PPCLI (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry), the Dirty Patricia's, but when they arrive is in doubt. Your orders are to seize blocking positions surrounding Buchhofen and hold.*
*
There are no air assets for either side as the air battle is north. The Czech's have outrun their artillery, and you will have only a minium of mortor support. This will be an infantry and tank engagement, and you are short on armour!*
*
If the Russians outflank your main element north of the Isar, the Brigade's position will be untenable. You must hold the line!*
