Our successful ambush yesterday seems to have left quite an impression on the enemy, because they paused in Valkenswaard throughout the night, with only minor scouting parties probing our new lines. This gave us time to dig in around the village of Aalst and create a new blocking position.*
*
Using this new position we will again try to delay the enemy. Even if we just manage to force them to dismount and clear the village on foot we will already have delayed their timetable. American parachutists have landed near Einhoven yesterday and it is clear that the British are trying to relieve them.
*
*
Objectives: Deploy your forces in ambush positions around Aalst and keep the British from moving north.*
*
Enemy: The Guards Armored Division has taken Valkenswaard and now their Spearheads are driving north along the highway. Expect armored cars, tanks and truckborne infantry. They also still have significant artillery and air support.

Remnants of FJR "von Hoffmann" have fallen under the command of Major Kerrut. In this sector you have access to roughly a company of troops, with some newly delivered PAK guns. The AT guns have no motorised transport. Some Stugs will join our defense later. Your troops have spent the night digging in. We managed to save the SS battery yesterday and it will fire in support.

Everything BETTER than a draw will count as a victory. A victory will delay XXX Corps' move to Nijmegen and allow you more time to improvise more defensive positions in later scenarios.
