Version 2.0

In version 2.0 of the Imperial Star Destroyer mod, you will find a number of changes from the original. Several of these changes are at the request of fans at the Shrapnel Games and the Infinite Space Federation forums. A list of changes follows:

* The hitpoints of the ISD were increased by 50%.
* Graphics of the ISD were changed to show more detail.
* The visible weapon graphics of the ISD were replaced with turbolaser graphics and were much reduced in size to better reflect scale.
* A system hardpoint has been replaced by a permanent ISD Fighter Bay that launches tiny little TIE Fighters.
* Corellian Corvettes have been introduced to the game by replacing the Terran Science vessel with the Imperial Diplomatic Corvette.
* Mission statements for the Diplomatic (replacing Science) and Military missions have been reworded for the Imperial theme.
* Major Brass has been replaced by Admiral Ritter. File complaints with the Imperial Security Bureau, Department of Internal Affairs.
* Intro Zorg image has been replaced by an Imperial officer from the game TIE Fighter (with slight modifications to the graphics to give him another arm).
* Diplomatic and Military mission end-game credit rewards have been balanced.

I would also like to announce that a fellow modder, Rezaf, has signed up to help with the Star Wars Total Conversion mod. I've previewed some of his work for new equipment graphics and I'm impressed. I apologize for the late release of this update, but I'm working on my last semester of college and it's kept me busy lately. I promised version 2.0 would be out this week and I guess I kept that promise.

Thank you for downloading my Imperial Star Destroyer mod version 1.0. I'm currently debating on doing a complete conversion mod for Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space. This would be a fairly large undertaking since all of the ships and aliens would need to be reworked. My main goal for the past 24 hours has been to make one of the first ship mods for this addicting game. The Modmaker's Guide to the Galaxy was an extremely useful tool. I highly recommend you check it out at http://www.digital-eel.com/modguide/ if you are interested in modding WW.

In the directory isd\graphics\launcher\ you will find a file named backgrnd8.png. This is an Imperial Navy recruitment poster I found online that I thought rocked. Replace the file with the same name in your default directory to see it (the text in the image gets in the way of the buttons. If anyone figures out how to move those buttons up, please let me know!). I recommend making a copy of the original background image in case you ever want to swap back.

To install, unzip directly into your main Weird Worlds directory. To play my mod, select the Weird Worlds: Destroyer of Stars mod at the startup screen.
