The Regional Mobile Group was developed late in the war as a more effective combat
grouping of existing Regional Force Units. The RMG was designed to be comprised of
3-5 Regional Force Battalions, each of which consisted of a variable number of
Regional Force Companies (often between 3-5 as well), 2 81mm mortars, and 2 57mm
recoilless rifles. The RMG also had its own organic artillery element (this formation).
