Hello, my name is Rolfe Bergstrom. This is my second Wierd Worlds mod, much less ambitious than the first... so far. We'll see how crazy I get.

I started work on this in July 2007.

It was created on a mac, and the 1.21 patch has not yet been made available for mac users. So, some bells and whistles (and ravians) are missing, but I think you'll like it just the same.

-----------------------

Concept:
This is a mod in which the existing lifeforms find new purpose. My main goal is to give the vast majority of the creatures either a quest or a use. Originally, it was just the Lummoxes, but it seems likely to be every single animal when I'm done with it all.

-----------------------

Changes in this version:
+Added Goldilocks and 3 animals. (Phase Spiders, Candlepillars, and Riding Slugs, and the Molybdenum Unicorn... so, more than 3 animals now)
+Breedable fuzzy lummoxes and related quests.
+The Muktian beekeepers society, and Piranha Bees in combat.
+Space Whales aren't just a postcard opportunity anymore.
+Megamoebas finally live up to their name.
+The Garthan Snake God. Snakebite voodoo.
+Threep school. (A little buggy, waiting for the patch).
+Science vessel available as an ally.
+Lookout Frogs and Garthans. Lummoxes and Bees. What do these have in common? Put them together to find out.

Created with an eye for replayability: A number of the quests share keys, and thus will not trigger in the same game. You have to quite a few times if you want to see everything.

-----------------------

Soapbox Alert: Having a readme file in your mod is a great idea. I wish the rest of the modders out there would do so consistently. It provides an opportunity to spell out clearly for other modders what's been added and removed. Those of you who have readme files, thank you, you made it easier for me to debug my fledgling efforts based on your examples.

-----------------------

Many thanks to Digital Eel, Shrapnel Games, the person known as Fingers, and the Modmaker's Guide to the Galaxy. If not for those folks, this mod obviously wouldn't exist.

Additional help was found by perusing the forums at Infinite Space Federation and Shrapnel games.

Special thanks to my father-in-law, whose image appears in the mod somewhere.

Biggest thanks of them all to my wife, Sarah. Some guys are lucky enough to find a wife who tolerates their gaming. A few find a gal so cool she encourages their gaming. Sarah actually partakes in and inspires my gaming. She helped with brainstorming, troubleshooting, and playtesting. The initial idea of doing a mod focused on giving more depth and usefulness to the existing lifeforms in WW:RTIS was Sarah's. And yes, I realize just how incredibly blessed I am to have her.

Known bug: When you train your ship's cook (you'll see) the computer appears to hang... what's actually happening is that the program puts map time on pause. Haven't been able to determine why, but it's easily dealt with. Just click the play button up at your ship menu or push the spacebar.
