VVP Libava 100x160, Summer
This map covers part of Czech Army's training area Libava in Northern Moravia.
Generally speaking, area's most significant part is deep, narrow and impassable
canyon of the Oder, running in south-north direction and joined by smaller canyons
of several creeks, most important being Lipavsky potok, Plazsky potok and
 Strelensky potok (potok = creek).
The area of Libava is used for all types of training by our army and
there are oten joint exercises with other allied countries (WarPac before
1989, NATO later), this area and VVP Boletice in the south of Bohemia
were largely used for training of IFOR/SFOR/KFOR forces for Balcans
as the terrain generally resembles many parts of that region, and also for
 training of special forces.
Special feature - the map presents also the edge of aerial training range
used for live ordnance training - part of that range is in the
open terrain in the south-eastern corner of the map (around sign
 MILOVANY ->).
The area is unpopulated, abandoned villages are presented on the map
by signs in CAPITALS (in this case there are following villages:
OLEJOVICE, VELKA STRELNA, MILOVANY). I haven't included the houses as the map
didn't show them and anyway they are mostly wreckages - you want village, feel
free to build them in that places:)
Also the roads and tracks should be in worse state, battered by tank tracks and
if there rains, also full of mud. Here also feel free to improvise.
While designing scenario, also try to avoid movement of heavy equipment along the
paved/dirt road in the north-western edge. It is a standard civillian road.
