Tank Company of Tank Battalion*
*
Tank company didn't see much of an evolution right after WW2 equipment wise. The main tanks still remained old (and obsoleted) captured soviet tanks. First relief was felt when T-54s were bought from Soviet Union in 1959. The tank companies' main use was still to attach the company to a Jaeger battalion based battlegroup.*

From 1950's to 1960's an organic close protection infantry was attached to tank platoons and companies. This infantry was lightly armed and it was to ride into battle on the tank decks and dismount in the battle to destroy enemy AT-weapons and troops. This way the tanks had always infantry ready to support them without the need to weaken the supported Jaeger units. This kind of special close protection was seen necessary as due to small numbers and weak equipment, the Finnish tanks were to fight on terms of the supported Jaegers, which meant bad tank terrain.*
