Peleliu #4*
*
Date: September 16, 1944*
*
Battle Location: Peleliu Island, Palau*
*
Battle Type: US Marines Assault vs Japanese Defend*
*
Turns: 20*
*
Description: This scenario represents the advance of the 1st Marine Division on Peleliu (part of the operation "Stalemate 2") on September 16, 1944 and should be played only from the US Marines side.*
*
Orders: The beaches at Orange 1 - 3 have been cleared and good progress was made in the run over the airfield. Now we are going to move futher inland and clear the south. You are in command of Combat team 3 (7st Marines Regiment). It has landed with all three battalions. Good luck!*
*
Historical note:*
*
Gameplay Notes/Tips: Move your troops only to the victory hexes and the approx. connection line between them, because the next scenario will start on this points. Find and fight down the japanese artillery. They can painful slow down your progress inland.*
*
Designer Notes: The troops strength (Marines and Japanese) is reduced to 33%. Combat looses are subtracted. Marines 37mm AT guns are able to fire AP and clusters; select the ammo (gun; right mouse) before you fire. The Japanese side have also reinforcements to simulate sheltered troops and the relocation of troops in the battle, this means you are not able to destroy all the enemy with your bombardment. Changed a lot of the original units to design armour, speed, ammo etc.*
*
Version: Scenario Version 0.5, WinSPWW2 Version 3.5, Scenario No 401! If you have any good ideas/found errors to make the scenario better, please place and discuss it in the forum or send an email.*
