Re: Dynamic Campaign: The Best and the Worst
Wulfir noticed you have another one going Autumn 73, I was going to download it & tag along as having great fun in this one:up: Suddenly thought I assume its possible once the player/you have had enough to actually release as a User campaign for general release. Could even ask the players for a little feedback make the odd change if like though if mine is anything to go by standard is high.
Campaign designers in general this is a very good way of playtesting if release to a small group of volunteers. |

From the designers viewpoint, this is a more rewarding approach than building a campaign like "Race for Tehran". However, it remains to be seen if it can actually be compleated...;) |
Re: Dynamic Campaign: The Best and the Worst
The man has a plan will confine future comments to email if thats okay with you. Also more than happy to play when any are nearing release stage.

But do send me the save files when you are almost finished with the scenario - remember that the game must be saved before the black end game result screen comes up... |

Good work Imp, impressive feedback too!
Right, here comes the tricky part: 1)Unzip the files. 2)Install the txt files into your campaign folder. 3)Install the scenario files spscn427.cmt and spscen427.dat into your scenario folder (not the campaign folder). 4) Start the game. 5) Add scenario 427 (The Best 02: At Tur II) to slot 002 of Campaign 018. You do this by entering the Edit Campaign function. 6) Save (in the lower right hand corner of the Edit Campaign screen you'll find the save button. Click it when the new scenario has been added). 7) Save again. 8) Go back to your saved game and contine from there. The new txt files should appear along with the next battle. Post here if you (or anybody else) has any questions. |
Re: Dynamic Campaign: The Best and the Worst
Nice clear instructions for install the boys are on it.
Good mission breif nice & clear made obvious Czech Eng need protecting so had a look at 300 points a pop best not lose any if I want to remain in charge of this task force:eek: Sold 2 Jackals & scouts as said |
Re: Dynamic Campaign: The Best and the Worst
Been playing this as well... It's been fun. I lost a couple of vehicles in the 1st battle.. Should have used my Yemenis ;-)
The second battle was a lot easier. Looking forward to more. |
Re: Dynamic Campaign: The Best and the Worst
Will be sending to Wulfir for the next instalment shortly as you said good fun, LOS round top right village was a bit challenging think partly due to dust from my mortars. Have you made any changes to your core? I swaped snipers jeep for a Stalwart ammo carrier as plenty of transport & changed 2 Jackals to GL equiped instead of slap for variety. Sold 2 jackals & scouts at start of 2nd battle for play balance as they are pretty powerfull finding the enemy well. Also for play balance think should only have 2 or no Scimitars till things hot up as they make light work of snipers etc so think would slow your advance down a bit. Sure Wulfir would be intreasted in your views

Same procedure as before with the new files.
The mission to Yemen is progressing fine in most areas, except maybe in the media - both Arab media and at home. Althoug the rebel movement is crumbling there is no room for errors...:dagger: |
