Nief has been staling a fair bit recently, although I think the nation is probably still viable.

If the staling, should we set him to AI, try for a sub, or just let him continue as-is?

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

False alarm, Nief appears to be back :-)

Reason is this against the policy hosting schedule. I really can't make it to all hosting dates. Please host, return it to normal! Lihaässä, divine intervention perhaps?

Please explain? Hosting schedule was three times a week, on Mon / We / Fri. Is this not now occuring? The llamaserver is set to 48 hour intervals, and (now that my internet issues are resolved) I have the last two weekends made sure to extend it by +24h on the weekend to keep this schedule.

It is possible that there is something I do not know, as I am not playing in the game. If so, as noted please explain.

Also, in the starting post it does say that the hosting may be extended again - "TBD". If three turns a week is too much, please post and request a slower hosting schedule.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

As mentioned, when hosting schedule were off from normal Mo / We / Fr schedule I skipped few turns. Now when it's back to normal I have submitted my turn every time. But as I wrote before, I can't play if the schedule differs from normal.

Actually I didn't even notice that hosting schedule has been normalized -- apologies for that -- But hopefully we can play the game till the bitter end with this schedule :)

I think I will be switching to AI soon if we dont find somebody to substitute Kailasa. Really have lost interest in the game a while back but kept it up as long as I could. What do I/we need to do in order to find a sub?

tratorix March 14th, 2012 02:10 PM

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Make a thread asking for a sub, explaining a bit about the game and position. Once you've found someone to take the position they can pm the admin and get switched in.

All good at this end :-)

And I really do apologise for the schedule going wrong a while back - it really was quite a mess.

I have set myself to AI. Thanks for the game.

OK. Thanks for playing Tmoe. Hope to play with you again sometime.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Nief has disappeared again. If I don't hear from Olpe, and he doesn't post this turn, I am going to set him to AI on the basis that he appears to be on the way out anyway.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

When I get a chance, i will change Nief to AI from this point onwards.

From the stats, it looks like the game is down to the big three final powers, and it is reasonably even!

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Nief has been set to AI. I emailed Olpa, but didn't hear back and he staled again, so I think he's given up on this game.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Now that we're down to 4 people, does anyone object to the idea of turning quickhost on? Seems a bit pointless to wait out a full 72 hours each turn now.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Sent a message to players about the above, we'll give it til the end of the week and see if anyone objects.

1 vote for faster game. Only shadows is almost left from Yomi's ;)

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Quickhost still isn't enabled.

Well Ossa, I was going to help you against tratorix, but I guess you decided to let him win

Thats fine

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Any chance of an update on how this game is going down? I got eliminated about 25% into the game, but I'd be curious to hear how its all panned out.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

I think we can pretty much call this one in my favour, if no one objects. Yomi and Agartha are pretty much done, and Vanheim has made it clear he has no interest in actually fighting it out with me.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Yep. That's fine for me.

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Running)

Congratulations Tratorix! I've been following this game a bit since I got wiped out and it seems justified that you claim the throne. No one really had a chance against Sauromantia in this game since the middle game.

I'm sorry about the problems with hosting.. but since we were using third party server (which is btw. awesome), I think this went pretty well. I hope you all enjoyed this game and the setup. Finally I'd like to thank everyone joining this game.

@ Current admin - could you close down the show in the llamaserver if no one objects? Thanks!

- Lihaässä

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Finished - Winner Tratorix with Sauromantia)

Will do with the llamaserver.

Congrats to Tratorix! I think I was the first guy to get stomped by Sauro, but far from the last :-)

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Finished - Winner Tratorix with Sauromantia)

Oh, wait please - I'd like to struggle on against Sauromatia, but with a bit of help - Tratorix said he would be ok to set himself to ai;)

So please dont close the game, just set yourself to ai - I'd like to try and see whether I have a chance at all.

And, by the way, congrats to the winner!

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Finished - Winner Tratorix with Sauromantia)

Oops, forgot about that. I'll set myself AI now. I'll try to gear up as many SC's for you to play with as I can. ;)

Re: EA game - Dreams of Ghatanothoa (Finished - Winner Tratorix with Sauromantia)

Uh... ;) You might also just give me the admin password, I'll handle the rest;)
