I will have to bounce the server around 7pm tonight. Server will be down for approximately an hour, if all goes well.

Lightning hit. Graphics card needed to be fixed, dominions folders hosed.

Hey guys. Was working on this till 2am or so.
Dominions is up but it is unstable. Dominions will not unload. When it tries, it crashes tcp/ip stack.

search for a fix is ongoing, but at this moment at least you can enter turns.

Having trouble connecting to the server to submit my turn. Guess the 'Thunder Strikes' are being unleashed at Chris's house again :-)

Probably another stall coming up. Getting used to them now though, and they seem to be adding an 'extra randomness' to the game, which can be considered fun in some ways :-)

So how is it going with Niefel? I had a bit of a bad start with much unrest in the capitol but did manage to kick one player out so I had some room when I passed the nation over and now I'm wondering how it's going.

Hmmm I continue to learn the myriad ways to screw up hosting. Automatic updates: on.

Restarted the computer. Its back up.

On other news, I've gotten a PIII Win2000 Server box with 2000 gb of disk space, and I'm almost done setting it up.

I had hoped to finish it this morning. But I'm having problem with the SCSI array.

I've gone AI: Feel free to rape the territory as you'd like = ).

Sauromatia has 3 armies - one of which has 300+ poison armies and 30 hyrdras.

And while I've been making headway - no way I can compete vs a human after that.

Sorry about any delays Ulm (me) has caused over the past few turns. Been having a manic few days that left me with no free time for anything.

Anyway, I'm going to be turning Ulm AI first chance I get (unless someone strongly objects). As I'm in a losing/lost war that there is no coming back from, so looking for sub would be pointless.

Good Luck to all those left. Hope to play many more games with you all in the future.

And many thanks Chris for the hosting and admin. You've done a top notch job :-)

Hey folks. Due to some personal matters, I am forced to withdraw from all the games I am currently playing. I've chosen to set myself to AI (which I normally hate to do) rather than look for a substitute because I don't want to delay the game any longer than I already have. Thank you for your understanding.

I swear I'm losing my mind. I know I posted about this.

The game server crashed and was unresponsive with a corrupted .2h file, that which caused one player to lose 2 turns in a row, due to quickhosting.

Turn was rolled back, quickhosting turned off, and the corrupted .2h file deleted.

Ahhhh! I thought Aezeal had dropped out of the game.

I really hate to disappoint you friend, but you've barely even yet glimpsed the power of Fomoria. If you turn tail and run now, it will be a steep uphill climb back to your distant capital. If you continue forward, it will be a swift and slippery descent into death and madness. Not an enticing choice to make.

Personally, I encourage you to press the attack, I put a LOT of thought into what I am cooking for your gigantic icecubes. And I'm a bit pissed about that first army - so many unprepared men who got only a couple of swings apiece before succumbing to hypothermia and shock.

In any case, we welcome our Niefel neighbors, and hope you have a long stay. In fact, please, stay for the rest of your lives. ;)

Thank you for the invitation, and to be frank, we do intend to have quite a lengthy stay in your ever decreasing, but still quite fertile territory. We suggest that you tell your subjects to stock up on warm winter coats.

Sun Tzu would probably tell you to be wary of an opponent who willingly gives ground, as they probably want you to come closer. ;)

But this whole process will go much more easily if you don't look at us as opponents, but rather gracious benefactors, here to show you the error of your ways, and rehabilitate you into a more civilized society. :D

Oh and has anyone heard from Mictlan?? Pretty sure he has staled the last five or six turns. Oh and server down so assuming lighting playing havoc with hosting??? :doh::shock:

Sooooo, how's everyone doing? :o

I was just about to bring the hammer down on Nief when Mictlan went AI, so instead of a *crunch*, I mostly just got a *squish*. And I think Rockers staled last turn, due to Mictlan's powerful presence in their lands.....

Just sort of curious what's going on in the world, and if the few people left are still enjoying the game. I know I still am, I absolutely love Fomoria, but if the game is just going to kind of crumble apart without a really clear winner, then I'd kind of rather just start a new game with them sooner than later.

Chris, any chance that we can delay this turn or next to 72 hrs?? Im moving from Delaware to Utah----packing up tonight (Thursday 28th)--leaving Friday morning, hoping to get there late Sunday or early Monday and then need to get cable hooked up at new house. So maybe 72 hr for next two turns?? Thanks

I've now patched to 3.20, as Llamaserver was updating for all upcoming turns. I guess I could do a separate install for your games Chris, but it seems like we should all be happy patched up. :D

Well, what an odd game that was!

By the end, I had 4 indie sites producing various Astral mages, and of course (with globas included) just had an absolutely enormous gem income.

I'm glad that it ended when it did, and you gave me a bit of a fright at the end there Klagrok, with all of your remote spells and aggressive expansion into Mictlan territory - I was very close to not being able to secure victory without terminating our NAP.

Well played. 8 ) Hope everyone involved (even those who left early) learned a lot, I know I did! :happy:

:) I should have attacked Mictlan earlier, but was busy creating artifacts to get my troops under water as didnt want to invade Lanka's territory. Was a good game though :)
