USMC Infantry Icon missing(corrected v9.1)
 

Not sure if it is a bug or not but since i applied patch 9.0 some infantry icons not showing in map with USMC OOB. Anyone else noticed this?

Which units, what date?

is this an existing scenario or a brand new game?

Some hints to point us as to the direction of search might be helpful....

In both Editor and Quick battles, when buying units for USMC apparently in 1960s decade period (working in 1950s, 70s & 80s), Rifle Squads icons are not showing on Board.

It looks like there seems to be a problem in the game itself in displaying 14(+?) man sections - mobhack displays those just fine.

On the investigations list.

Just did a little testing.
In 1961 the icons display just fine.
In 1962 they fail to display.
In 1971 they fail to display.
In 1972 the icons display just fine.

Possibly related to the 14-man squad used between 01/1962 - 12/1971?

This is because 13 men is the limit for infantry units in SPMBT !!

THERE ARE NO 14 MEN ICONS IN MBT AND THE GAME CAN'T DISPLAY WHAT IT DOESN'T HAVE

SPWW2 went to a 19 man system a few years back to accommodate the pre and early war Polish 19 man squads but MBT didn't use >13 man units (........until there was more tinkering done to that OOB this last time around........... ).

I'm still investigating WHY this happened and WHY it was missed but ATM it looks like the old EXE's showed >13 as 13 and the latest does not...... why ? IDK..... this may take a few days to sort out and I'm not very happy ATM

It's nothing you did to the OOB Suhiir. My investigation so far has shown that before this release 14 men was just shown as 13 in MBT and I doubt anybody noticed the difference. I had considered switching MBT to the 19 man WW2 system at one point but it seemed more trouble than it was worth at the time so I didn't but some of my "test" code to check feasibility *may* have been left in which is what *may* have caused this but that is still conjecture at this time.

Still not even close to 100% post surgery and I can't spend the time I'd like to , to get this sorted but it will get fixed eventually.
