What is your favorite nation and why?

Since I've been in a rut, I figured I would start this to see if anyone can get the juices flowing.

My favorite nation is Caelum. In a fantasy game, I love the Caelum theme. The feeling I get when I fly in an army of death upon an unsuspecting enemy and take out all of the border provinces in one fell swoop is sheer power. Then when your enemy figures out how to counter the lightning, you trot out the mammoths and unleash a barrage of arrows and turn your enemies to trampled pin cushions.

My favorite is Pangaea. I love the unit selection and the Carrion Woods theme. BTW I live in TN as well :).

I like the random nation because of the variance and possibilities. My enemies will never know in time what they are going to be against.

Ryleh (MA/LA) without any shadow of doubt, it's theme score goes through the roof, even the execution of the theme is very interesting and different.

Let's see:

Pythium: Angels and A. Theurgs and astral dominance

Caelum: great raiding fun, lots of options with flight across the board

Jotun: Werewolves on steroids

Ctis, Pangaea, Ermor & R'lyeh: flavor

Shinuyama. Yeah, they suck, but they're fun. You can pour out hordes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles backed by bandit archers with mean swords. And the Bakemono Sorcerers can lay down a variety of pain very easily. My only complaint: NO SHIELDS!

Thematically speaking Bogarus, they bare an ancient Slovenian flavored mythology which I'm rather fond of.

Mictlan, Jotunheim, Midgard.

I think one of your assumption are faulty, Shinuyama is in fact pretty awesome! It's totally one of the strongest MA nations.

EA Caelum was my first love, although these days I frown at their lack of a stable basic unit-lineup. It's really awesome to be able to fly in a large force to break a fortress in one turn.

My other love was MA Pythium, just for the air and astral are together, and because legionaries are pretty damn fun to build an offense around. And endgame full of angel helps.
