Custom Filter possible bug

Using lastest patch--WinSPMBTv8_(2014)_Upgrade(R).exe--and CD version.

In my current PBEM game, I have noticed my custom filter settings for Op-Fire are not sticking turn to turn. I set them for several units and save my game, then opponent sends his turn back and all those units have a specific range setting (i.e., 500m instead of different filter settings for infantry, tanks, etc.). I have to manually reset the filters.

To test this I went to my turn, set some OP-Fire filters using different ranges for tanks and soft targets. I made sure the filters are set. It says "Range-Filtered" on the unit ID information. Then I saved my turn to complete it later, exited the mission. Immediately reloaded the turn (without exiting from Steel Panthers) and then looked. The OP-Fire filters are gone again.

As a final test, I started a head to head game on my computer and played both sides. I set OP-Fire filters for both sides (same countries and year) and the OP-Fire filters DID stick from turn to turn.

So the problem is with the PBEM game. We are only on turn 4 and the problem has been present each turn.

I am going to start a second game with the same opponent just to see if the OP-Fire filter problems are present in that one.

What are the thoughts of the gurus here?

Re: Custom Filter possible bug

Thanks, I did search but did not find the earlier post (I think I must have used an inexact search term). Now I have read it and you are correct, the bug has been reported already. That's quite unfortunate.

Perhaps the two threads can be merged.
