TSATC: Reviews

From The Bovine Conspiracy,
Quote:

One of the major strengths of TSAC isn’t even the game itself, it’s the fantastic manual...

The graphics exceeded my expectations for a wargame. TSAC stands out with absolutely beautiful maps from the Cold War era Soviet Union...

One of my favorite aspects of this game is the fact you can control as little or as much of your forces as you want...

A strong AI, comprehensive manual and unit spec information, along with a large degree of customization all highlight this gem. The game ran solidly without a single crash during my many hours of play...

If you have even the slightest interest in wargames or strategy games, check it out.

Thanks - I wish all reviews, good and bad, were written with the same feel Samurai has for wargames!

This is a game made for the target audience and it is made well. The people who were going to buy it will be pleased with their purchase. And, certainly it should be reinforced that curious newcomers to wargaming would do well to put in the effort to understand this way of playing.

Re: Reviews

Thanks, Annette. I think this review is very positive. I think that the game IS "graduate-level", but I have no plans on dumbing-down any future titles,...unless Pat tells me to! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I think the AATF interface will fix the main issue with the difficulty people have in learning the interface, but then, of course, a whole new crop of problems will surface with the new interface! Damned if you do, damned if you don't. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Also, I have a friend in France who is willing to give me a translation of the Cyberstratege review if you don't get one from them. Let me know!

A new review has been posted at Gaming Nexus giving The Star and the Crescent a score of 6 out of 10. Reviewer Tom Bitterman writes,
Quote:

... it’s a very realistic simulation with all the bells and whistles a hard-core old-school war gamer could want.
