How is the 2 player PBEM?
 

Anyone with direct experience want to comment on the play by email? How balanced is the 2 player game? A buddy of mine and I play Fire in the Skies, and I wondered how the game is compared to that one? If he winds up not buying, and I do, does anyone here do 2 player? The forums over on looking for opponents is pretty dead.

There's a gentleman here named Strider who does do PBEM and will probably see your post and can comment on it himself, but I know he's had great fun with it.

I assume you're talking about the MMP boardgame? There are similarities, as there are with Victory in the Pacific. So, it's sorta a mashup between Fire in the Sky, Victory in the Pacific, and its own design.

Regarding the balance as with most games you'll definitely find it more challenging to play against another person. And yeah, unfortunately it would be nicer to have a bigger player registry. It's not like it's unpopular, just seems like the owners don't stop by the forums very often, which is a bummer.
