Questions about Component Pictures

Hello,
i'm new to this soplease forgive any misunderstandings on my part.

I'm trying to make some new weapons, new pictures, abbilities and so on.
While checking the components.txt and compering it to the Components picture file i noticed that pics from #188 to #234 have no connections to existing weapons.

Where are the weapons that those pictures represent?

First off welcome to the forum Rift, come on in pull up a seat and make yourself at home. Now as for pics 188 to 234 there is nothing wrong with them. In fact the mod I am working on uses several of those pictures. Most likely they are included because they were used at one time and/or Aaron wanted to provide extra material for us modders to tinker with. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Just a thought crossed my mind about some space monsters or relic ships with those things.
Im currently making some of my own weapons, tinkering with pic's and so on. For exmpl. ST Voyager's "Iso-kinetic cannon" ( high cost, low re-fire, high damage )

Re: Questions about Component Pictures

If it’s a ST mod you want to make I would suggest getting in touch with Atrocities. He created a ST mod for SE4 that was very popular and took many elements from the different series. Also don’t be afraid to add your own pics (which it looks like you are doing). Just remember to add a copy of the pic as a Comp_XXX, LargePortrait_ Comp_XXX, and finally to the Components.bmp which can be expanded with more boxes. If you are not sure how large the boxes should be use one of the first three pictures (the colony components) as a guide for the size. One last thought, posting on the main forum will get you and your thread more exposure so you may want to place your next question there and in doing so it will introduce you to the community at large.
