Scenario idea doable?
 
Inspired by GDW's Assault, I would like to try this scenario idea.
You are the US player with say a 1980s Cav unit composed of tanks IFVs and additional forces that the player can call for such as A-10s. Also, reinforcements will show up too. If you don't need them, leave them on the map edge untouched.

For the Soviet side, I create 10 scenarios where Soviets of various sizes and composition attack you. In one extreme, the Soviets only commit recon forces while in the other extreme they commit a reinforced battalion with lots of support. In some cases, the Soviet forces are the same but they enter the map in a different location and/or use a different avenue of approach.

I believe I need a batch file to randomly select one of the 10 scenarios, rename the scenario, and then save it to a open slot. You start the game not really knowing what you are up against. Calling additional assets when they weren't needed makes your performance suffer, you be the judge, not sure how to score it VP wise but you get the idea.

You can create some "randomness" via the victory/loss level in the campaign editor. Say you suffer a decisive loss you next go to scenario 101, a tie 102, decisive victory 103 etc.

You can create a "Core" force and add other units you may want and mark them as "AUX" (button on the scenario editor screen). If you don't deploy certain of the "AUX" units when you create a specific scenario they won't be available. But they can be used in other scenarios. Keep in mind you have to create the ENTIRE unit list and reuse it in every scenario (even if all the units aren't deployed).
