How about a game bundles

As I lot people these look out to make a good bargain so how about making game bundles.
Steel Panthers is just one example, both games are at the moment sold for 5$ less, now how about a bundle with both games but for 15$, that is even 5 bucks less than the single buys but 2 games are sold and not 1.

Maybe something like that could be done with other games too.
People today just have to think they made a good snap and they almost jump for everything so maybe that is a good idea to animate buyers.

From what I recall from previous discussions of shrapnel and pricing is that they do not think that lowballing prices is a good strategy for them. They lack the market and press coverage to be able to get a good return on investment on them.

Sorry. I'm just a forum goer, not affiliated with shrapnel in any way (Oi, shrap, I'm doing your customer support here!). So I could be wrong.

Shrapnel seems to have full price, sale price, and free.
Doing lots of bundle-on/bundle-off deals with all the webpage updating?
I guess that would be good for us users. A Grognard bundle?

What are their sales prices usually? 5 bucks?

What wonders me a bit is that there isn't a price difference between the Download and the Boxed Versions, at least for the two Steel Panther Games I don't see that.

Just makes me think of RPGs where the ebooks are usually a bit cheaper than the tree version. And usually they make a bigger profit selling those than the tree version.

Downloads have a higher cost in servers, maintenance, and surprisingly in the cost of support. Many smaller companies tend to do either hard copy or download but not both. Larger companies seem to almost do the same by just creating two divisions that act like 2 single companies specialzing in one or the other.

This is especially true if each company is still having to write their own software to manage it all. Im still watching for a good plug-in module like you can get for adding a forum or a chat button or a search. (or just give up and join someone else like StarDock or Steam or Microsoft Distrib)

I just did some quick maths on the current sale (a first for Shrapnel?).
WinSPWW2 (Free or $40 for some extra resolution, encyclopaedia options and other minor features) has been reduced in price by $5.00 (13%). That is about the same percentage that inflation has reduced it's price by since it's release in 2006 (13.3% CPI).

Even in 2013, 35$ is too much for my pocket. I'm going to sit it out for a good many more years and hope Shrapnel don't increase the price with inflation! :D
