World of Warhammer Redux (map)

I've been fiddling with this for a while. World of Warhammer is a beautiful map, but I found it very hard to play on. This is an attempt to make the map image more playable:

- smoothed the jagged region borders that are very ugly close up (the original image is pixelated at 2x scale so I ran it through a pixel art scaler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hqx)
- reduced the intensity of the colors (they were very distracting)
- redrew a lot of the borders to better represent the map data
- drew routes between caves

The map files included are from the "Squirrel Edition". I believe squirrel modified the start positions to be fairer and there is a version with dead seas. I know little about creating maps and what would work so I made no changes.

I included two map image files in the 7z. These new map images and the original are all interchangable. One is a version with very heavily muted colors (see 3rd screenshot for original/new/muted comparison).

So this is just a visual rework, isn't it? The number of provinces is still ridiculously huge, no redux there?

Yes, its just a visual rework.

I should point out that I'm a complete noob (just started my 2nd mp game) and don't feel I know what really needs to be done to fix this map yet.

If someone wanted to fix the number of provinces or other issues then I'd be happy to do the visual work fixing the image.
