Fortified hexes

What bonus do fortified hexes(not trenches but the hexes with sandbags) give to infantry and vehicles exactly?
I have searched the manual but found nothing.

Artur.

This is from the manual:

"The vehicle revetments and gun positions issued at the start of a battle cannot be reoccupied."

Don

Is that true even after moving in a fortified hex during a turn?

I saw that at the trench description. I admit I have not known the word revetment until now. If that refers to a sandbagged hex it should be modified to be reentrant dirong the game IMHO.

Re: Fortified hexes

Sandbags are used as a general icon to indicate that the hex is an improved position for the vehicle or gun unit that started the game in it.

So maybe the whole statement may be changed in

"Sandbags (that are a general icon for an improved position for vehicles and guns) issued at the start of a battle cannot be reoccupied...."

Re: Fortified hexes

Thanks for the explanation.

Now I can lobby at the designers to make it reentrant http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif.
