Ooooh, I like that idea! Large area of effect Quickening when I am playing MA Ermor. I seem to have a few chaff undead somewhere around here...

Yes, no one suspects the W9 Ermor pretender. >.>

They do not lose any levels when going on water. But I think they lose all regen there. Abit expensive way to get W4 caster. As you need to have one anyway to get them.

Well, what do you do with a water based SC once you have taken over the seas? Leave them in a lab casting Voice of Aspu/Tiamat or bring them up to help on land? I thought I was stuck with site searching, but it sounds like I can make my dead dance faster now. I can't reduce, so I will reuse and recycle... Hmm, kind of thematic for Ermor actually!

On the land front, you have other options.
Quickening.
Cleansing water - perfect for Ermor to cast. :-3
Rain - hardly need a water 4 caster for it, but if you have no other water mages, can be a use going against a fire heavy nation.
Finally, the one I mentioned earlier, Falling Frost. At W3 and fatigue 20, you needn't have a w4 mage cast it by any means, but it scales up in AoE as well as damage. Again, an Atlantis player would be able to tell you whether that spell is that effective with only a few very powerful mages, or whether you need critical mass.
And for Ermor, there's Grip of Winter, which stacks nicely with Rigor Mortis, except your queen's not undead, so definetly cast that, and watch her tire to death. Your opponents will appreciate it.

All of the "falling" spells IMO work best with at least 5-6 casters spamming them.

That said, I don't think any evocation really realizes its potential unless you are at least 1 level above, for reduced fatigue. You can't guarantee they'll keep using the spell after the 5th round, but if they pass out by then, you're not getting your bang for the buck.

Especially with water, it is absolutely never a bad idea to slap a Water Bracelet on your frost spammers.
