Tokiedian Objective Flag Roundel Mod

1 Attachment(s)
This mod aims for the MBT version of Cross Objective Flag Roundel MoD. As a beginning, I made v0.01, making use of Cross's resource. I'll go ahead with the project.

I like the roundels that you have done so far, but for me they are not displaying centered in the hex. They are in the lower right hand corner.

I hope I am not treading on any toes here...

I had a spare moment so added approx. 25 more objective icons to Tokiedian's version. (Including "low Vis" USMC, Iran, Portugal, Austria, Brazil, East Germany, Russia, etc)

If no one else (Void1984? Tokiedian?) completes this I will probably work my way through it in spare moments.

The Icons have where possible been edited from objective flags / Cross's roundels so should all be in the correct palette.

I have used "SP Fix" to "center" all the roundel type ones so this should now not be a problem.

Any suggestions, errors, queries pls feel free to ask, and If someone is still working on this sorry - let me know and I will stop.

Roundel Objective Markers v1.0

This mod consists of 2 .shp files which change the current objective flags to "roundels" (usually based on that nations air force roundel). These allow more of the covered terrain to be seen.

To Use: simply extract the files and copy them into the ...\Shrapnel Games\The Camo Workshop\WinSPMBT\Game Data\Graphics directory replacing the existing files.

There is also a .txt file with some notes about the choices i have made.

Please be aware of the standard warning:
"This mod contains highly altered or additional files that may or will cause interference with the master game files and it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that this mod be installed and played ONLY in a separate copy of the game and NOT run from the master game"

Some of the icons still require a little work, generally to remove blockyness.

Please Note: that I have NOT checked all the icons in game yet. Please let me know of any needed changes, etc.

Enjoy

Surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for this - I thought people wanted it...

Let me know if it is worth me redoing for new version (add georgia, etc)

No doubt that I will use it.
Light years better than the stock flags.

Working on new version - Georgia, Chad, etc added. A couple tidied up. Just need to transfer into new files (new version seems to have all countries in one 133 image .shp file)

Did any of you that downloaded it have any comments, problems or suggestions?

Re: Tokiedian Objective Flag Roundel Mod

I thought this mod was interesting. The farther out I zoom, the harder the roundels are to see as compared to the usual victory flags, but at zoomed in levels it isn't too bad. I'm playing a Polish vs France/Netherlands/ Denmark campaign, and I've been able to see all the roundels easily, they contrast nicely with the backgrounds. But just playing around with various scenarios, some roundels can really blend in with the backgrounds, like the USA/USMC and Soviet Union for example. Probably the uniform color and maybe because they are a bit dark? But since Don and Andy refuse to retire and keep patching this game so I will continue to play it, the roundels do give it a bit of a new look :D

Thanks Steves!

Yeah at zoomed out levels they are harder to see cos they are smaller (so that more is visible in the hex under them - the reason the WWII ones were done in the first place).

Yes some of the darker, one colour ones are less easy to see, I'm open to suggestions. I did try putting a white band around them all to make them stand out a bit more but thought it looked awful.

UPDATED for Version 9! :)
