Dominion

Looking at the screen shots, it appears dominion is now represented by a number of candle icons rather than a single candle of a certain height. Dominion doesn't appear to be as easy to see with the new system, but I could be wrong. Just wondering if there is a better graphical option to see dominion spread at a glance.

In Dom1 they could manipulate the pixels individually. Dominions caused your whole area of the map to get lighter. Then they switched to an icon-style map and we lost that. (I miss it)

Unless the graphics layer gets heavily into layers and masks Im not sure we will ever be getting that back

I know this feels like a strange idea, but... could it be a candle? Getting bigger when dominion grows? In fact, it would kinda look like the one we have in DomII, the one that can be turned if the player wants to. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Either that, or a province over-lay like in Dom:PPP. I didn't see any other overlays in the map, though.

I liked Dominions2 way much more. One candle is much more stylish. The only thing that was lacking was an easy way to count numerical value. I think it would be enough to put simple, uh, carvings on the big candle.
