 Need HELP

Does any one know waht ALCXMNTR.exe is? I recently appeared in my system process about the time that my right click options began to lag horribly.

Its not a virus, I discovered it has something to do with Real Tech. An audio something.

 Re: Need HELP

Well, if its not nessesary for your audio, then you might as well disable it.
If you're using 95/98/me Start->Run->Msconfig Goto the startup tab, and uncheck it. Next time you reboot it won't be loaded. You'll get a message each time on boot until you uncheck the "always show this" box on the message. [ January 10, 2004, 16:01: Message edited by: Suicide Junkie ] |

It seems to be a Video driver or something. Do you have something called AlcxMonitor installed?

I'm not sure exactly what this is, but given that it ends in MNTR, I suspect that it is some system monitoring application (similar to STIMON, the still image monitor), perhaps related to media files.
