OT- Coding Help VB or what ever

I need to write an application that will launch on startup on a windows 2000 box that will monitor the services.

When it sees that a specific service has started it will launch a program and then shut down.

Can anyone help me.

Well, I don't know the specifics of VBASIC (I've tried to avoid it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ), you can add the program to the startup list in msconfig (I think) or in the registry under, IIRC, HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run. That program would be the one to monitor the services and launch a kill program.
