Re: OT: Do you want to fight mono-a-mono or even multi-a-multi with GIANT ROBOTS? The good, the bad and the where did that go???? Please remeber that this is a demo. used kegan, because he looked the most rounded while still being agile and the Jaguar, because I like it. And now it's got a sort of 'wolverine' look, including claws! the good: Giant robot combat. At the risk of sounding cliche, a simple interface that none the less allows complex moves. I could probably do some neat stuff if I really knew what I was doing. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif And, for people like me who aren't good at blocking, blocking is now done automatically by standing still or backing up. But I do my best fighting by unrelentingly attacking. And it's got my adrenaline going. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif the bad: It was laggy (singleplayer) in some places, especially during special moves with 2-3 opponents or jet fighter attacks. People who like to do their own blocking won't like the new blocking system. And I liked raven more when he was a deadly fighter even on easy level, not the new one who (admittadly I was on amature) is only dangerous if you let him attack first. sieze the initiative and hold it and you can beat him easy, once he's at 0 HP...except for one thing: he's now a cheezy fighter with near invincibility. As far as I know -SPOILER-, you have to attack him with full energy, a super attack and hit the keys right to beat him. Best raven defeat? Jaguar berserker attack which knocked him onto the shredder belt for a total of 153 points of damage. I liked the old raven better. Also, there where some clipping issues. the where did that go????: I hope they just took it out for the demo, but I didn't see any 'custom character' option and there was no earning or spending of money! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif [ March 20, 2004, 08:12: Message edited by: narf poit chez BOOM ] |
